Join us for a special Homecoming at McEver Road UMC, when we will welcome one of our own into our pulpit.
Our speaker will be Stephen Wright. He is the son of John and Nelda Wright.
Stephen first came to McEver Road 25 years ago as a 6th grader. While a member he developed a foundation of faith he cherishes dearly. Here he was confirmed, served as the youth group president, delivered his first teaching, had his first encounter with our risen savior, and began to form a relationship with God – Father, Son, and Spirit.
While a student at Georgia Tech he was involved in the Navigators ministry. Upon graduation he helped with the youth group at Rome 1st UMC for a few years. For the past ten years Stephen and family have been at Vineyard Community Church in Marietta where he has helped with youth ministry, led small groups, and occasionally taught on Sunday mornings. He is currently serving on the board of directors for “Why Should I Believe?” – a Christian Apologetics ministry on college campuses.
Vocationally he works as a professional services solution architect for NCR Corporation. Stephen and Katie just celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary and have two wonderful little girls; Lindy and Ronnie.
After worship, join us in the fellowship hall for a pot luck lunch.
