Dynelle and Janni Martin

Dynelle and Janni Martin

Dynelle & Janni came to McEver from Commerce First United Methodist Church, where they led worship at the contemporary service and Janni taught an adult Sunday School class there for 20 years.   Janni began HUGS Help Us Go to School in 2019 which is a charity that provides school uniforms and supplies for children in Guatemala.  They have both been involved in medical/dental clinics in Guatemala since 2006.

Dynelle is a retired Nurse Practitioner and Janni is an RN who plans to retire in 2021.   Janni also has a BS in Biblical studies from Toccoa Falls College and a Master of Divinity from Candler school of Theology at Emory.  She is a self-described “theology nerd” and is thrilled to have joined challenging classes at McEver.

Dynelle and Janni met in 1984 in Memphis and have been together ever since.  They moved to Georgia in 1992 and live in Maysville on a small “mini-farm” where they raise goats.

They have two godsons, Mason & Keenen, whom they raised from ages 8 to 14.  They are currently 21 and are both in the US Army.
