Community

This is where relationships go deeper - with each other and with God - and transformation grows.

When we move from the mentality of "going to church" toward "being the church," we move away from an event-based faith to an active, embodied faith; we become the family of faith that Jesus intended which leads to positively impacting and transforming us and the world right where we are.

Sunday School Classes

Sunday school is a classic way of connecting and building community, particularly around teaching and learning about the Bible.

We have three primary classes that meet consistently on Sunday mornings from 10 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. on our campus.

"Journey to Bethlehem" Class

Meeting in the renovated garage of the Bagley House on our church campus, this group is studying the books of the Bible and their writers, using books outlined in the Serendipity Bible Study.

Class teachers are rotated among members of the group, giving more in-depth opinions and understandings of the Bible.

First time visitors receive a free gift from the group as well. All adults are invited!

Leaders: Lamar and Judy Jordan

"Joyful Noise" Class

Meeting in the last classroom on the left (across from the Pastor's office) in the Bagley House, this class has lively discussions for adults of all ages on current and seasonal topics, using both internet tools and personal experience.

This class uses music as a universal language to explore music’s role in helping us to understand culture, society, religion, and spirituality.

Leader: John Wright

"Pages" Class

Meeting in front office of the Bagley House, this class is primarily a lecture-facilitated and group-discussion class.  This class  is currently using the Cokesbury "Adult Bible Studies" quarterly material.

All adults who seek to further their knowledge of scripture are welcome, from the 30’s to the 80’s!

Leader: R. Garry Glenn

Small Groups

Small Groups are similar to Sunday School classes in that they focus on study but they also incorporate various types of practical life-application.

Small Groups gather throughout the week, typically in members' homes.

Wesley Group

This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 7PM. They meet at both the Bagley House on our church property and in people’s home as well.

John Wesley (founder of Methodism movement) knew that followers of Christ were not made in just attending worship and Bible study. He knew that disciples are made by groups watching over each other in love and sharing their challenges and victories.

If you are interested in growing your faith in a group that cares about your journey with Christ and wants to join you in that journey,

Short-term Studies

This is a great way to connect and learn together with others for a brief amount of time (usually several weeks). Topics range from books of the Bible, themes of the Bible, application of faith, spiritual disciplines, and more through various studies and curriculum

We will update these offerings as they approach (typically during the Spring and Fall).
